Dr Edwin Anthony has worked in medicine since 2000 and has performed VASER liposuction since 2012, after training with Dr Alfredo Hoyos. Today his practice focuses on body contouring, lipoedema reduction surgery and gynaecomastia correction, alongside Renuvion and QuantumRF subdermal skin tightening.
Every surgical patient meets Dr Anthony in person, has their plan designed by him, and is treated by him. Results are shaped by careful anatomy, honest advice about what is achievable, and close follow up through recovery.

He is an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor in Leeds, holds FRCA, FFARCSI and FFICM fellowships, is on the GMC Specialist Register, and is a former Royal College examiner and Association of Anaesthetists Council member.

Nurse Rashmi Mehta

Who will perform my procedure?
Dr Edwin Anthony personally carries out every VASER, lipoedema and gynaecomastia procedure at Contoura Medical. He also leads your consultation and follow up.
What are Dr Anthony’s qualifications?
Dr Anthony is a GMC registered cosmetic doctor (GMC 4776646) with a specialist interest in VASER liposuction. He has 14 years of VASER experience and more than 1,500 cases, and is a Lipoedema UK Recognised Clinician.
Will I be awake during treatment?
Many procedures are performed under local anaesthetic, and some, such as VASER 4D, are mainly carried out under IV sedation given by a specialist anaesthetist. Dr Anthony will recommend the safest option for you at consultation.
What happens at the consultation?
Dr Anthony assesses your concerns, examines the treatment areas, explains your options and what results are realistic, and gives you a written quote. There is no pressure to book on the day.
