Nurse Rashmi Mehta

Aesthetic Nurse

Rashmi is a key aesthetic nurse in the Orovenza division at Contoura Medical. With extensive experience in non-surgical aesthetics, she specialises in delivering subtle, natural results through advanced injectable techniques and medical-grade skin remodelling devices. Orovenza is built on the philosophy of renewal and regeneration, collagen stimulation, skin remodelling, and biological processes that transform over time. Under Rashmi’s care, every treatment is tailored to the individual, ensuring an ethical and highly personalised approach. Operating in a CQC-registered location alongside Dr Edwin Anthony (GMC 4776646), Rashmi ensures every patient receives a high standard of care. This bridges the gap seamlessly between premium non-surgical care and surgical precision, creating a natural pathway for patients.

All Orovenza treatments take place in a clinical, regulated environment. We are not a spa or beauty service; we are a dedicated medical aesthetics division.

Orovenza is the non-surgical aesthetics division of Contoura Medical at Langham Hospital, Marylebone. You are treated by Nurse Rashmi Mehta, our lead aesthetic nurse, and prescription-only treatments are prescribed by Dr Edwin Anthony (GMC registered), Lead Clinician at Contoura Medical.

Meet Nurse Rashmi Mehta

Rashmi leads Orovenza and carries out consultations and treatments herself. She is a Registered Nurse (Adult) on the Nursing and Midwifery Council register, first registered in 2012, and works as an Aesthetic Nurse. Rashmi is not a prescriber: any prescription-only medicine is prescribed by Dr Edwin Anthony after his own assessment. She has extensive experience in non-surgical aesthetics, and her work is built around subtle, natural results: people should notice that you look well, not that you have had something done.

In practice that means she often suggests less rather than more. She would rather treat conservatively, review you and add a little later than overcorrect on the first visit. She takes time over consultations so you can ask questions and understand what is proposed.

  • Listens first, then examines, then explains options in plain English
  • Talks through risks and the option of not treating at all
  • Photographs before treatment so progress can be judged fairly
  • Reviews results and adjusts plans rather than repeating the same thing
  • Will tell you when a treatment is unlikely to meet your expectations

How Orovenza is governed

Orovenza is doctor-led and nurse-administered. It is not a standalone clinic. It works under the clinical governance of Contoura Medical, with Dr Edwin Anthony providing medical oversight. That structure shapes every part of your care.

  1. Consultation first. No treatment is carried out without a full consultation, medical history and examination.
  2. Prescribing rules. Prescription-only medicines, including those used for anti-wrinkle injections, are only given after a prescriber assessment. Dr Edwin Anthony is the prescriber, and you will know who prescribes and who administers.
  3. Informed consent. You receive clear information on benefits, risks and alternatives, and time to decide.
  4. Hospital setting. Treatments take place at Langham Hospital, 77 Hallam Street, London W1W 5HB, with clinical standards to match.
  5. Aftercare. Written aftercare, a way to contact us and a review where appropriate come as standard.
  6. Escalation. If a complication needs medical input, doctor oversight is already in place within the practice.

This matters because the sector is still catching up with regulation. In August 2025 the government announced plans to license clinics offering injectables and to restrict the highest-risk procedures to qualified healthcare professionals. We already work to the kind of standards those plans describe.

Why Orovenza sits within Contoura Medical

Contoura Medical is a surgical practice led by Dr Edwin Anthony, specialising in VASER liposuction, lipoedema surgery, gynaecomastia correction and QuantumRF skin tightening. Placing Orovenza inside that practice was a deliberate choice.

  • Honest advice. Some concerns need surgery, and we can say so without losing you to another clinic.
  • Cross-referral. If non-surgical options are not enough, we can arrange a surgical opinion at Contoura Medical.
  • Joined-up care. Skin quality treatments can be planned around surgery, before or after, by one team.
  • Shared standards. The same governance, record keeping and complaint processes apply across both.

The Langham Hospital setting

Being in a hospital rather than a salon or high street unit changes the everyday details: clinical treatment rooms, proper infection control and medical support close at hand. Most treatments go smoothly, but the setting is there for the occasions when they do not.

Langham Hospital is at 77 Hallam Street in Marylebone, a short walk from Great Portland Street and Regent's Park.

How to check a practitioner's registration

Anyone offering aesthetic treatments should be happy for you to check them. Registration is public and free to look up.

Also ask about training, insurance, how complications are handled and what aftercare is included. The answers tell you a lot.

Popular starting points include anti-wrinkle injections, lip filler, Profhilo and Morpheus8 Scale & Burst. If a non-surgical option is not the right fit, Rashmi can refer you to Dr Edwin Anthony at Contoura Medical for a surgical opinion.

Consultations take place at Langham Hospital, Marylebone, or call 020 3890 1911. Consultation fees are fixed and are not deducted from treatment prices, and your practitioner confirms your personal treatment cost at consultation. You can also browse all Orovenza treatments. Book a consultation

Frequently asked questions

Who is Nurse Rashmi Mehta?

Rashmi is the lead Aesthetic Nurse at Orovenza and a Registered Nurse (Adult) on the NMC register since 2012, with extensive experience in non-surgical aesthetics. She carries out consultations and treatments personally and focuses on subtle, natural results. You can check any nurse's registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Council's online register.

What does doctor-led, nurse-administered mean?

It means a doctor leads the service, while an experienced aesthetic nurse assesses and treats you. At Orovenza, Rashmi leads day-to-day care and Dr Edwin Anthony oversees the service and prescribes prescription-only medicines. It combines hands-on nursing care with medical support when it is needed.

What is Dr Edwin Anthony's role?

Dr Edwin Anthony is Lead Clinician at Contoura Medical and provides medical oversight for Orovenza. He is the prescriber for prescription-only treatments, and he is available for medical input if a complication arises. He is GMC registered; his registration details are on his profile page.

Why does it matter who prescribes my treatment?

Because prescription-only medicines must be prescribed by a qualified prescriber after an assessment of you. The NHS advises knowing both who prescribes and who administers. Remote or unclear prescribing is a warning sign. At Orovenza, the prescriber is named and part of the same practice.

Is Orovenza a separate clinic from Contoura Medical?

No. Orovenza is the non-surgical division of Contoura Medical and shares its governance, location and standards. That lets us offer you non-surgical treatment and, where it is the better option, refer you for a surgical opinion within the same practice.

Why are treatments done in a hospital?

A hospital setting offers clinical rooms, infection control and medical support nearby. Most aesthetic treatments are straightforward, but complications, while uncommon, need a prompt, proper response from people who know you. Treating at Langham Hospital means that response is already in place.

Will I be pushed into having treatment?

No. A consultation is for advice, and you are welcome to leave with a plan and think it over. For some treatments we deliberately build in a gap before treating. We will also tell you plainly if we think a treatment is not right for you.

How do I check a nurse is registered?

Use the Nursing and Midwifery Council's free online register. Search by first and last name or by PIN, and it will show whether the nurse has active registration or any restrictions. It takes a minute and is worth doing for any practitioner.

What aftercare do you provide?

Every patient receives written aftercare instructions specific to their treatment, a contact number and a review where appropriate. If something does not feel right, call us on 020 3890 1911. Medical oversight within the practice means complications can be assessed quickly.

Who can have treatment at Orovenza?

Adults aged 18 and over who are suitable after consultation. Some treatments are postponed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with certain medical conditions or with active skin infections. We check your medical history carefully and will explain if a treatment needs to wait.
