What Orovenza is
Orovenza offers injectables, skin treatments, energy devices and lasers for adults who want to look fresher without surgery. It sits inside Contoura Medical, a surgical practice known for VASER liposuction, lipoedema surgery, gynaecomastia correction and QuantumRF skin tightening. That means your nurse works alongside a surgical team rather than on her own.
The practical benefit is honesty about limits. Some concerns, such as heavy skin laxity or significant fat, respond far better to surgery than to any injection or device. When that is the case, we say so and can refer you to the surgical team at Contoura Medical for an opinion.

Why choosing a registered practitioner matters
Non-surgical aesthetics in the UK is still lightly regulated. Anyone can currently buy some products and inject them, which is why checking who treats you is so important.
Save Face, a government-approved register, received more than 3,000 reports of complications and adverse outcomes in 2023, a 35% rise on 2020, with dermal fillers making up almost 70% of complaints, as reported in a House of Commons debate in September 2025.

Every treatment starts with a consultation. It is a proper medical assessment, not a sales conversation, and you are never expected to book treatment on the day.
Your goals. We ask what bothers you, in your words, and what you would like to change.
History and examination. Medical history, medicines, allergies, previous treatments and a close look at your skin or scalp.
Options. We explain which treatments could help, what each involves, the realistic result and the risks, including the option to do nothing.
Prescriber assessment. For prescription-only treatments, Dr Edwin Anthony is involved before anything is prescribed.
Time to think. You go away with a written plan and a clear idea of cost.
Aftercare. After treatment you have written instructions, a review where appropriate and a number to call.

Do I need a consultation before treatment?
Yes, always. We need your medical history, an examination and a proper conversation about goals and risks before recommending anything. There is no obligation to book afterwards, and for some treatments we build in a gap so you have time to think.
How do I know which treatment is right for me?

Are your treatments suitable for men?
Yes. We treat men as well as women, and common requests from men include anti-wrinkle injections, skin tightening and help with thinning hair. Facial anatomy and skin differ between men and women, so doses, placement and treatment plans are adjusted to keep results looking natural.
How do I check that a practitioner is registered?

What happens if I have a problem after treatment?

Do you treat anyone under 18?
